Bite the gauze firmly for 1 hour (1/2 hour for baby tooth) to help stop bleeding. If bleeding persist, change to new gauze and continue biting firmly for another 1/2 to 1 hour or until the bleeding stops.
Do not rinse your mouth vigorously for 24 hours after the treatment. Keep teeth and moth clean by brushing gently after meal by avoid touching the wound.
During the first week after the treatment, gently rinse your mouth with warm salt water (1/2 teaspoon of salt with 1 glass of warm water) several times a day to help heal the wound.
Take medication as prescribed by the dentist:
Pain relief medication : Take 1-2 tablets only when necessary.
Antibiotics (prescribed in some cases) : Must take the complete dosage prescribed.
