TOOTH EXTRACTION
- Bite the gauze firmly for 1 hour (1/2 hour for baby tooth) to help stop bleeding. If bleeding persist, change to new gauze and continue biting firmly for another 1/2 to 1 hour or until the bleeding stops.
- Do not rinse your mouth vigorously for 24 hours after the treatment. Keep teeth and moth clean by brushing gently after meal by avoid touching the wound.
- During the first week after the treatment, gently rinse your mouth with warm salt water (1/2 teaspoon of salt with 1 glass of warm water) several times a day to help heal the wound.
- Take medication as prescribed by the dentist:
- Pain relief medication : Take 1-2 tablets only when necessary.
- Antibiotics (prescribed in some cases) : Must take the complete dosage prescribed.
